Harmony Herb Infusion (Western-style fresh TCM tea)
A TCM Tea without TCM? A lot of people ask me about Traditional Chinese Medicine herbs; where to get them and how to get started on navigation what seems like such a daunting and complex system. Actually, sometimes you don’t even need to go anywhere special. Using herbs you have laying around, that you use everyday or are easily accessible in your local supermarket, I will demonstrate some of the incredible TCM benefits to be found! So this is my take on a Western Herbal Tea Inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). I really love to drink this tea after a meal, as the properties in most of the herbs naturally aid with digestion and circulation. I can also recommend this during your moon.

• 3 sprigs of fresh mint

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil and pour over the herb mixture. 4. Cover and let steep for 10-15 minutes to extract the beneficial properties. 5. Strain the tea into cups, discarding the herbs. 6. (optional) Sweeten with honey or add a splash of lemon juice if desired. 7. Enjoy warm.
TCM Benefits of the Ingredients:
• Sage (Salvia officinalis): In TCM, sage is considered slightly cool with astringent and bitter properties. It is believed to improve memory, aid digestion, and ease painful menstruations by influencing the Heart, Pericardium, and Liver meridians.
• Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis): While not traditionally used in TCM, rosemary is known in Western herbalism for its stimulating and warming properties, which can aid digestion and improve circulation.
• Lavender Cotton (Santolina chamaecyparissus): This herb is recognized for its use in expelling intestinal parasites and also have antiseptic properties.
• Lemon Peel (Citrus limon): In TCM, lemon peel is warm, bitter, and pungent, entering the Lung and Spleen meridians. It is used to promote qi circulation, resolve dampness, and transform phlegm. This infusion harmoniously blends Western herbs with principles inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine to support overall well-being.
